BriarPatch Food Co-op was founded in 1976 in Grass Valley, CA, and since then, has grown to include over 15,000 members with sales nearing $40M per year. Since its founding, BriarPatch has promoted a resilient and sustainable local economy by supporting businesses, organizations and brands that are committed to a healthy and equitable world.

UPC was engaged by BriarPatch to support its expansion to Auburn, CA, by providing full-service owners representation throughout the construction phase of the project. UPC was engaged at the completion of design to finalize the project budget and contract with the construction manager, oversee the construction process, support the Co-op in securing project financing and all financial record-keeping throughout the project. UPC also provided monthly progress reports that supported the Co-op management team’s reporting to the Board of Directors.
