Joffrey Ballet School

Joffrey Ballet School serves a broad group of students from professional dancers to young children. Their new facility in Queens was developed in part to address the summer programs that bring aspiring young dancers from around the world to experience the highest level of dance instruction.

UPC was engaged to coordinate the design and develop and maintain the budget and schedule. UPC also coordinated contractor selection and oversaw the construction phase and move-in. The project resulted in the conversion of a 12,000 SF warehouse space into six dance studios and support spaces. All the dance studios have sprung floors and required careful consideration of light and air to support the many types of activities that take place from instruction to performance.
