Did you catch UPC at SXSW EDU?

Since the start of the pandemic, UPC Principal Tricia Forrest and the wider UPC team collaborated with Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School (Brooklyn LAB) and a range of partner organizations to develop strategies and solutions for safely returning to in-person learning and school operations. UPC participated with Brooklyn LAB on a SXSW (South by Southwest) EDU panel to share how this partnership successfully connected the design, construction, public health, and education sectors. Brooklyn LAB is a long-standing client of UPC, initially serving as the owners representative for the buildout of their flagship high school campus in downtown Brooklyn.

Panel attendees learned strategies for how the education sector can successfully partner with outside organizations and devise innovative solutions to challenges caused by COVID-19. Panelists explored how these partnerships can support education and other sectors after the pandemic by highlighting how the different organizations overcame cross-disciplinary challenges.
